Description[]

So far, there have been only five boss-like entities found in Diep.io: the Guardian of the Pentagons, the Fallen Tanks (the Fallen Overlord and the Fallen Booster), the Summoner, and the Defender. These were secretly been added to Diep.io, as they weren't shown on the Changelog at first. The first official changelog including information about the Bosses was the one of August 22th, 2016.

Mechanics[]

  • Bosses spawn on a timer, with the first one spawning 10 minutes after the arena opens.

Bosses in detail[]

Fallen Tanks[]

A Fallen tank is gray, and will have maxed out all stats. There have only been sightings of 2 different fallen tanks so far: Fallen Booster, and Fallen Overlord. As far as EXP goes, they drop as much as 30,000 EXP when killed.

Fallen Overlord[]

Fallen Overlord

Info:
4
Boss
Experience
20,000 - 30,000

Fallen Overlord has all stats of an Overlord maxed out. It has got the exact same design of an Overlord, but is grayscale; the hull is a grey circle instead of red or blue. Also, the Fallen Overlord is noticeably larger than the playable Overlord.

Once the Fallen Overlord spawns, a grey notification will appear: 'The Fallen Overlord has spawned'. Once it has been defeated, another grey notification will appear: 'The Fallen Overlord was defeated by <name>'. The Fallen Overlord will orbit around the map, attacking everything that comes in its way. There is, however, an exception: any tank below level 15 (level 15 not included) is no enemy for the Fallen Overlord and will not attack it unless provoked. If one of its drones touches and damages a non-enemy entity, the single drone will start to attack it.

Fallen Booster[]

Boss
Experience
20,000 - 30,000

Fallen Booster has all stats of a Booster maxed out. It has got the exact same design of a Booster, but is all grey; the hull is a grey circle instead of red or blue. It is a stronger rammer than all tanks due to its health and body damage, but slower than the Booster when fully upgraded at speed. Also, the Fallen Booster is noticeably larger than the playable Booster.

Fallen Booster attacks by ramming, not unlike many people who play Booster.

Guardian -10,000 health

Summoner - 18,050 health

Fallen Ovelord - 23,000 health

Defender - 71,000 health

Unique Bosses[]

Guardian of the Pentagons[]

Guardian
GuardianProfile
Info:
1
Boss
10,000
Experience
20,000 - 30,000

The design of the Guardian is similar to the battleship. Its hull is a large Crasher with a drone spawner at the back that spawns Crashers at an insane rate. Whenever one of its Crasher is killed, it is replaced by another Crasher nearly instantly. These triangles will chase the player just like the Base drones. The Guardian seems to be able to have a maximum of 50 Crashers under its command. Once locked on, they will attack that very player until it is either dead or out of range. However, the Crashers will vanish as soon as the Guardian is killed, similar to an Overseer's death. Upon destruction, the Crashers do not give any EXP.

Its health pool is comparable to a maxed out Landmine, but it can't regenerate health. The drones' speed and damage seems to be lower than a maxed Overseer. The Guardian drops 30,000 experience points upon destruction. It is not targeted by Base Guardians just like the Arena Closers, nor does the Base have any negative effects on it. The Boss itself will not seek to ram you, but will continue on a predetermined course.

Summoner[]

Info:

Boss
Experience
20,000 - 30,000

It has a similar appearance to the Necromancer; a square body and spawners. However, it has 4 spawners, one at each side, and is noticeably bigger. Its hull is bright yellow, the same colour as an Arena Closer. Its drones look like the Necromancer's drones, with the original bright orange colour. It's currently unknown how much health it has, but like all other bosses, it has certainly not a small amount. It was added alongside the Guardian in the August 20th, 2016 update.

20,000 - 30,000

The boss is a large red triangle that has 3 trappers and 3 turrets that fire yellow traps and bullets respectively. It is the 5th Boss to be added in the game.
